At MHA Live at Home we want to enable older people to stay living independently in their own homes for as long as possible, with the best possible quality of life. Grimsby Live at Home do this currently with 3 social clubs, one to one befriending, outings, lunches, exercise, signposting, quarterly newsletter, telephone befriending, entertainment, big party events and more. This Scheme has been offering the above services for over 26 years and we have wonderful volunteer support bases who offer a variety of help with all of these services.
The Live at Home Scheme Manager is responsible for developing and managing the Live at Home Scheme to meet the needs of older people within the local community. A pivotal part of this role is community development; we want to bring communities together for the better. Maintaining and obtaining funding and partnership working are key in order to keep the scheme functioning and excelling in bettering the lives of older people and therefore confidence in funding bids and building solid working relationships are essential.
The post requires an individual with a range of business and operational skills, but critically, who possess a strong drive to deliver high quality services that reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness and promote the wellbeing of older people across a range of community settings.
The Scheme Manager will be responsible for line managing any additional staff appointments to the Scheme - this will depend upon the size of the Scheme and the breadth and volume of services delivered. Volunteers are crucial to the successful operating of any MHA Live at Home Scheme and the Scheme Manager will be responsible for the recruitment and selection and on-going support and supervision of all Volunteers.

Tackling isolation and promoting independence and wellbeing Grimsby & District Live at Home tailors its activities to suit its members. Our befriending scheme and regular newsletter keep people in company and contact. We also organise regular outings to places such as garden centres and local concerts.
